Latest News (or lack of it) from Network Rail

A landslip has occurred between Leamington Spa and Banbury. It is unsafe for trains to run between these stations.

There is the potential for further ground movement and because of this, the railway line and surrounding area are at risk of greater damage. There is currently no estimate how long the repair work will last - it is likely to take several weeks and as soon as we have a definite estimate for when trains can run safely, we will make this available.

They need to get the line open for Easter weekend (3-6 April) as there are planned blockades on the WCML at Watford and the GWML at Reading over the holiday period.
