One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Why is everyone bitching about it? Looks good to me.

@Liverpool Street

Super x can come in many forms. The GRS Pointers have their displays SuperXed since I worked on them (hence the scrolling). You can also get static superX like the link @John posted or even like the 80x enviros at central.

All opinions and onions mentioned on here are mine and not those of any employer, current, past, present or future, or presented as fact, unless I prove it otherwise.

I am equally confused... does a job doesn't it? And does it quite well from what I can tell
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

"Here's one I made earlier" Thought I've have a proper play with Super-X and I'll admit not all the fonts are that bad on there.

(Ignore the dot matrix versions, I haven't edited them yet)

@trident4370 the rear display is the only redeeming feature of the super X display for me, I just wish they used that display on the buses that have super X
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
"Around the corner" routes: 21, 89
Local routes: 12/A, 48/A
Semi-local routes: 54, 80, 87

Most used routes in bold

@Sh4318 Do you mean where I have put 'B'ham' underneath the 2? You don't actually need Super-X to use the rear display like that, it can be done normally aslong as it is static :P

@trident4370 yeah, I meant that one. Oh yeah, silly me, I remember WB, PE and WN had a similar display, only it alternated between route number and route number, destination, worked really well

Don't worry, I personally prefer that too but I guess it isn't everyone's cup of tea!

Appreciate this might not be the right thread.
Saw Diamond Solo in Coventry this morning showing display
"Returning to depot" may not be technically correct for bus taking up service but it's more sensible than "Sorry, I'm not in Service"
after all who is sorry?

vinh1000

Noticed that PB have started to put the number on the left noe :-)

trident4370

The numbers always looked better on the left imo
