Just as a contrast, is this the smallest drop in frequency?

Brighton & Hove Route 25 - every 3 minutes Monday-Friday Peak Hours, every 5 minutes Monday-Friday Daytime, every 7-8 minutes Saturday Daytime, every 10 minutes Monday-Saturday Evenings, every 12 minutes Sunday Daytimes, every 15 minutes Sunday Evenings, every 10 minutes Monday-Saturday Nights, every 30 minutes Sunday Night. Can't be many routes which are more frequent at night than on a Sunday Daytime!

Off the top of my head, the only routes I can think of that are over every 30 minutes in the evening are the 50, 60 & 126, in Birmingham anyway

The 7 is every 20 mins until 10 o clock

one example from outside the Midlands which has always baffled me but Stagecoach Gold service 10 (Cheltenham - Gloucester - Lower Tuffley). This is a route which is every 10 minutes monday to saturday daytimes but in contrast has a service gap of two hours on a sunday night on the last three journeys

The thing is that this is the route that serves both universities in Brighton, so more students travel after midnight than on a Sunday daytime (when they're sleeping it off).  Incidentally, the Monday to Saturday evening frequency is increasing from every 10 minutes to every 7-8 minutes from 13 April due to demand from students wanting to hit the town.

The other thing to note is that the 13 April changes have been posted (in detail) on the B&H website since 8 January.  Why can't this level of advance information be made available in the West Midlands?   (http://history.buses.co.uk/history/SummerPreviewApril2014.htm)

126 goes to 20 mins up till the last bus a midnight from brum, I belive the 60 is every 20 also, apart from the last 2 services from Birmingham which are half hour, don't quote me on that, but when coming from work on the night, theres usally a 60 which is parked up has a twenty min lay over, then the goes out when the next one comes in with 2 going out of service when arriving
Wouldnt mind a 10 min bus service....

Route 525 in Halifax, West Yorkshire is surprising: every 7 minutes from 0800 to 1230 Monday to Saturday, no afternoon, evening or Sunday service! http://www.wymetro.com/site/handlers/buses/timetables/pdf.ashx?route=525&code=

Is there a similar service which replaces it?

Halifax Bus Company also operate a 600 service which runs a similar route to Ovenden then back via a different route, but that seems to run for most of the day rather than just for half of it.  Probably with Ivecos or Merc 709Ds, seemed to be using plenty of them on their 300 service in Sowerby Bridge over Christmas.

On a side note, AG's 1 has the same daytime frequency (every 20 mins) Monday to Sunday now. (not counting peak extras of course!)

2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

There can't be many routes for which that can be said

141 at Pensnett is half hourly Mon-Sun
