Although it's expected a further order for 127 & 5/5A will be made imminently following the next round of funding (which will also see pretty much all Loughborough going electric, except for sky, midland Diamond & the few Centrebus routes).
It's also thought the 148/158 corridor could be going electric too (thanks to Warwick receiving a share of the fund.. although not sure if yet officially confirmed or just early speculation).
If bustimes is to be believed then 8001 had a trip on the 127 this morning.

From what I gather they're utilising one on the 127 peak only board to see how it performs.

Was confirmed by the driver driving it that this correct 👍

And the use of electroliners on the 31 whilst diesels operate on the 50 has started to spread away from Sundays. Absolutely no excuse on a Saturday given there is neither peak only boards and buses remain on the same services all day.

8002 has been at St Margaret's this morning receiving attention and looking at bustimes.org it appears that 4535 has deputised for it to avoid a missed service.

It's actually 4534 that's on the 50/51. I assume the machine for 4535 tracking on the 127 is the actual 4535. Not sure what '4534' on the 158 actually is.

8002 now tracking on the 6A, usual Arriva tracking service

Absolutely no excuse whatsoever as they triumphed them to be for the 47/48 50/51 anyone bothered to tell the scheduler, same as the 3 Sapphire's (pointless brand)branded for the 158 are never on the 158, why do bus companies brand buses then not use them on the dedicated routes

Surely, those 3 Pulsars still in Sapphire 158 livery were made surplus when the timetable changed and 3 less vehicles were required. They won't appear on the 158 nowadays as that's a Hinckley operation and those 3 were transferred to Thurmaston.

Mayfield

Not rocket science is it, 158 requires 3 buses, 3 buses in Sapphire 158 branding, transfer them to Hinckley then.

8008 BK73ADZ has been on the 49 all day.

The 158 needs 6 buses. They have steadily repainted most of them as the branding is less relevant now that Arriva and Stagecoach (148) work together between Leicester and Nuneaton.

Mayfield

Remove the branding or allocate them to the correct route, not could for customer perception is it.

Aren't the electrics capable of doing a full days work, if so what is the point in buying them and if they can why aren't they ?
