I was wondering if it was possible to introduce a NXWM service to Alridge from Kingstanding, I know we got the 56/75 but there Diamond operated and are no good if tou have a TWM bus pass, the only possible route to get Aldridge from Kingstanding Via NXWM route is 935 - Boars Head then the 997 - Aldridge

If that was possible then maybe NXWM could introduce a route e.g.
936 which operates from Birmingham - Perry Barr - Kingstanding - Streetly - Aldridge or re-route current 935 to serve the Aldridge town centre as I think NXWM would benift highly from this,

I remeber when the 997 used to operate to Walsall Via Kingstanding & Aldridge what happended to that and the 995 that operated to Brownhills MCW operated and by PB later transferred to WA to interwork with the 996 at Birmingham

I might be missing something here... but surely the 935A already connects Aldridge and Kingstanding?

Which goes exactly by the route you're proposing for this new "936" route, before continuing to Rushall.

But how often does the 935A run

Do you think that it's frequency might just be based on passenger use?

It comes down to this: are there enough NXWM bus pass holders wanting to travel between Aldridge and Kingstanding to provide a reasonable load every half hour?

To have any hope of success, NXWM would need to match Diamond's 56 frequency.

danny

Michel I asked how often it was not how many people use it

It in NXWM's interest to get people to use one or more route to their destiantion, means they dont have to run a million different routes and also incerease the likelyhood of people buying a daysaver!

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the 997 go between Aldridge and Kingstanding?

I'm pretty sure it turns off Dyas Road and into Old Oscott before it reaches Kingstanding, though I may be wrong...

I don't think the 997 goes to the main circle it goes along the backroads

The 997 doesn't serve Kingstanding.  It runs via Aldridge Road,  Old Oscott, Queslett, Pheasey and Barr Beacon.

Then there's no need for a NXWM service! Diamond is cheaper anyway, right?

True, but if you got a TWM bus pass then you dont wanna pay extra would u ?

I think either WA/PB should introduce a NXWM service to Aldridge, and introduce 935 on Sundays

As the idea is good, and could work, the question is how much real demand is their for such a service, diamond have their foot in the door, so is their real demand the aminitys in aldridge is the same as kingstanding, and for anything else their is the peak journeys
