Thanks John :) Has 4780 managed a full day in service yet or has it been working peak boards/schools?

I think the most it had managed was Saturday, when it was on the 67, taken off with a defect, and then put back onto the 101. It may have been out more than what I have seen it, but it has been parked up in the garage most of last week

It has been around the garage a lot last week, and both today/yesterday

No problem  ;) It does look like it now that Perry Barr want them refurbished, even though they do not look too bad in the condition they are in at the moment

I'm waiting to see 4698 when that comes back, as that was looking quite tatty

It was indeed although it was distinctive being the only one with the TWM Twin Peaks moquette. The other reason I like 4698 is because of its Euro 3 engine which makes it identical sounding to our trans bus tridents at Park Lane, Birmingham Central and Coventry

Obviously I haven't been able to have a good look at the cab and drive it

I guess the controls are the same as the other Perry Barr Enviro400s, even though it is a Trident chassis. I do remember the upstairs been very worn, although I did like the twin peak moquette, compared to the darker blue one of the 47**s

Trident 4609

I believe the darker blue TWM/NXWM moquette that was used on B7RLE's 1750-1787,Omnilinks,47** E400's and on returns up till March 2012 didn't come in till mid 2006 so with 4698 being a 55 plate it was delivered with twin peaks moquette :)

You and me both ;D, it will be the first Enviro with the upper saloon oval emergency exit in NXWM livery. I'm guessing the refurbishment won't extend as far as re-engining 4698?

Yeah, the older OmniCity is the same as well, with the twin peak moquette. The downstairs seat layout on 4697 is slightly different to the other 5 OmniCity's, and 4697's lower deck seems lower (as it has warning stickers above the doors, and in experience seems lower

4697 is a different chassis to 4777-81 isn't it? 4697 is a N94UD chassis and 4777-81 are on a N230UD Chassis?

I think 4697 may also have low height bodywork

4780 parked in the garage again, so may be out on peak time services today if anyone is looking for it

4780 spent the morning on 67 then the afternoon on sutton lines

Did it do a morning peak 67 (Back to garage) then appear on afternoon peak Sutton Lines? Or did it swap routes.

No, it was on peaks again. Taken out of the garage around 3pm, to do a 914

Well, so far, my predictions are right... 4780 has shown up on 16, 101 and a Sutton route. It's like winning the lottery! Next number, '7'!  ;D

It would be good if they kept the silver grille and light surrounds on 4698 even though these have been lost a while now!

Also has anybody else noticed the different doors it now has? It used to have white doors like the other 07 reg enviros but now has black like the newer ones

Hmm, with the different grille, light surrounds and doors, has it been involved in an RTA at some point?
