Service 119 began operating by Petes Travel around 1996 using minibuses.
By 1997 it was using low floor darts I think

P827 BUD
P828 BUD

Being the only service in Sutton area low floor until summer 1999
TWM attempted competing against them in late 1996 using metroriders and mercedes mini and 108A/108C  in mid 1997 using metrobuses.

Then TWM apperaed again on the 119 in September 1999 using Optare solo but TWM gave up competing  July 2001.

TWM have re-appeared competing in 2012 with the extension of 904
To falcon lodge and re-routing 115 to Falcon lodge parade

So after 17 Years is this service really to be completely cut 26 January 2014

It is a shame. Looking at the original Petes timetable for the 119 and the 115S I have just noticed that the current 119 which runs to Asda Minworth seems to be both of the routes combined. It is a shame it has finally ceased-I believe connect interworked it with the 904 looking at the timetable booklets for both services. It is a shame as as recently as November 2011 blue diamond were launching a timetable guide and seemed to want to improve the route and now it has been cut. Means the only ex Pete's routes still being operated are the 401e/4 group/42/43/50/some redditch services and to an extent certain contracts that are broadly similar routes ie 650/99 and potentially some more.

For all that is said about Pete's travel they did innovate & create some new services that didn't just compete head to head with twm (until twm decide they wanted to compete on them). A lot of these routes do still exist I.e 638 castle vale to erring ton which was Pete's 628. However the only one left in diamonds stable is the 401E. Such a great shame & such a loss for rotala really.
I wonder if things would have been different if Pete's had still been around today.

Well I suppose the average age of vehicles in the area would go up by about fifteen years....
Don't you start.

Nope, there was no interworking between the 119 & 904. It was looked at though as a through service, as was serving Sutton Station. The latter idea was dropped due to potential congestion impacting schedules.

I've made my feelings clear in the past as to why the route dwindled, various 'antics' seriously affecting viability (904) & timekeeping (119). The first issue was stamped on, don't know why the second one was allowed to proliferate....
