Leyland Lynx E64 WDT in Chesterfield livery provided a free service from Chesterfield Station to Barrow Hill diesel gala yesterday.
It performed perfectly with 51 of us seated and another 22 standing. Great up the hilly route.

Just seen a preserved vehicle, in the West Bromwich Corporation livery, near Paradise Circus.

I would have been on that! Came from Wythall. They had an operating day today.

Saw what I presume was 3225 (only caught a quick glance of it but it looked like the driver was wearing NX uniform) passing through Bearwood on the Hagley Road yesterday

West Bromwich 174 (GEA174) seen just past the Scott Arms turning into Holy Cross church car park at circa 10:50.

Still there at 12:50 when I went past going the other way.
Possibly in attendance at a funeral.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

To true @Liverpool Street, the Fleetlines IMO were the best buses ever!
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

These style of fleetline more than the revised dash(FE30AGR) although I would take any fleetline over some of the newer stuff any day of the week. So glad we have so many in preservation. Also nice to see 4613 back on the road after her RTC looking as good as ever
