Hi there

This Saturday hoping to go up to Wolverhampton/Walsall in order to get on some of the Liberators (or Crusaders) as haven't been on any for a year or two since they were replaced at AG. Anyone know the best routes for catching these and thanks in advance?

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

The Crusaders at WB will be on the 45 or 47/A.

B6's are on routes 26/25/25A/62/62A and 82 (They appear on the 11 Mon-Fri and on the double Decker route 59 at peak times)

They're still running a fair few routes then; when will they be replaced, does anyone know?

I have a feeling WA and WN will have batches of E200's to replace the B6's next year.

Ps if you do go to Wolverhampton try and get a ride on 508 and 555 (IMO the best B6's we have at WN)

But if you plan to do your trip be aware some routes can get different allocations other than B6's on Saturdays.

The 25/25A can have Mercs Mon-Saturday and tridents also appear sometimes so a B6 doesn't always turn up

The only route I can definetley say will have B6's all the time are the 26/62/62A (They all interwork)

WA route 69 has B10L Liberators most of the time along with the 39 as said.

Thanks for the details Trident 4609; I'll keep an eye out for 508 and 555, miss the Crusaders round here in Solihull. Have a bit of character compared to the Optares used on the S2 and better too, considering the Crusaders don't have issues with doors not  opening!

Ha ha, only just read this. Made me smile. It's been too long since Yarlwood cropped up on this forum.

Lmao, usually you're the one to crack it first, Mike!

Anyone ever seen a B10 on the 84?
