I was in town today coming from Colemore down Bull street and spotted a Hybird enviro400 with passangers heading along Corporation, What route, if it was working a route may it have been on ??

If it continued down Corporation Street towards New Street, then it would have either been on the 45, 47, 61 or 63, the only BC routes I know of that go that way.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

As very few of the Pershore Road/Bristol Road drivers are trained on them there is no way BC would allocate one of these to those routes on a day when there is a garage full of spare buses. If you notice when they do appear on other routes it is on peak only boards that are normally driven by by the same drivers every day

I doubt it was either of the Pershore/Bristol Road services.

Was much more likely a 35 from YW, as fairly often a couple of Enviro400's for the 50 end up on there. :)

Ignore me, I completely missed that you said hybrid Enviro400  ::)

It could have been out of service

Most likely driven by an engineer back to BC I think.

Nathan4775

Well 1 or 2 passengers doesn't seem that likely on a Double Decker service through the city centre! Unless it was perhaps a mid-morning or Sunday service that you saw, so it could well have been just an engineer transporting a couple of drivers or inspectors or something.

Well the obvious point to make is if you are so sure you spotted passengers on the bus why weren't you able to see the front, side or rear desitanation display that would have cleared this all up!

Abluhwleh

Possible answer, he was on the opposite side of the road to the bus stops and the hybrid in question was one of the ones without a functioning rear display?

wilmotm (Matt Wilmot)

I haven't seen a hybrid that doesn't have fully functioning displays all round, and it would be quite a dissapointment if there is one that has a broken LED as the buses are only a couple of months old

One of the 4763-4776 batch of Enviros had a broken LED after a couple of months.

4802's rear LED was broken when it was first delivered, but that was fixed.
