Trident 4609

Maybe due to less buses being avaliable in the garage meaning you will most Lilley get another unusual type for that route

That is one possible reason but seems unlikely given many of these changes occur in the evening.

I wonder if 5515 was allocated from start of service or if it replaced another broken down bus on that board.

According to a friend of mine, spotted 547 on 69 today.

Thought I saw a B6 in Wednesfield this afternoon but assumed it was on WN 25

OH25

about 12pm in Dudley I saw:

4353 on the 276
2001 on the 82
2154 on the 246

B6s are the main allocation on the 27 alongside Tridents.

Tridents, Enviros and Mercs are all common on the 276.

B7RLEs aren't that unusual on the 82, 2154 on the 246 is a good spot though.

I usually find that the 27 is B6 operated and the 27A trident operated (Both routes don't interwork apart from early morning/Early evening Journeys)

As I said in my last post all are common except 2154 on the 246

CL

2010 on WN126, seen at Broad Street, ICC. I know they're quite common now, but, something worth metioning imo...

547 can't have been on the 69 as it was on 70A's all day today

5515 was allocated to the 11 at start of service but only did two trips before failing. 5510 was on from 1133 onwards

Suprised nobody today saw...

WN 1682 - 529 - just before 1530 at Walsall Bus Station
WN 1686 - 4 - around 1310 on Waterloo Road Wolverhampton

Okay, I take it my friend was incorrect. My apologies on her behalf.

That is one possible reason but seems unlikely given many of these changes occur in the evening.

During the evening many boards finish and the reduced frequency for evening timetables starts. More buses therefore become 'available' as replacements. Most buses to finish will be on high frequency routes such as 1 2 59 529 126. It is easier to swap these over in the bus station as they finish to replace a faulty bus which is just comming into the bus station. Instead of bringing a bus from the garage (which at this time of the evening is a hype of activity) as most of the hybrids are allocated to 1 & 59 that's why they end up on unusual routes. I know some drivers will deliberately ask a driver to swap their bus (usually spectra's) so they have a better bus for their shift (or at least they used to)
