I don't believe it for a minute but someone else may know the truth, but I just read that 20 B10L are transferring from PB to WB, WN & PN. why would WN & PN be having B10L when they only just got rid of them (granted I prefer the look & sound of them compared to the mercs but why re-introduce them)

Ash

Yeah and apparently 20 mercs are going from WB to PB I'm sure this is just made up as it would make no sense. I can't see what would be gained from doing this.

For starters PB only have 15 x B10L's left. I can see B10L's leaving PB as part of the North B'ham review, potentially being replaced by the ex NXC Omnilinks. With the ex PB B10L's going either in to reserve or for scrap only.

This years NX bus orders will more than likely see off the majority if not all of the remaining B10L fleet. I for one will be sorry to see them go....

There is certainly no merit in sending any to WB this late in their lives

Spookily, current entries into service are 21 Hybrids and 23 B7RLE - making 44 - roughly the same number of B10Ls still in service  ;)

It will be interesting to see what turn up at YW to replace theirs.

Unless YW's 6 looses some of its Omnilinks, the B10L replacements will need to be single deckers due to operating the 27

Don't forget the 10 x Enviro 400's confirmed for NXC = 54 new buses

With the 12 x E400H now in service at WN, WN has 8 older Tridents left & 4 x Excel still in service which would seem a perfect fit quantity wise to remove  those from WN. Plus WN's Pvr will due reduce by two at the end of the month due to the withdrawal of the X1

Tony,

Did you ever hear any more news on whether 7115 & 7123 may make it back in to service in Dundee after their inspections?

I'm thinking the more viable options might now be to send 7127 & 7128 in their place or as additions to allow for the withdrawal on non refurbed/repainted Dundee examples

Thanks Tony, excellent news, will be good to see them back in service, I expect it will be Dundee rather than the West Midlands

Will 7127/8 have their LED displays put to use in another bus at all?

Dundee are thought to be requiring additional buses from June for enhanced services / additional DCC tenders and additionally to allow for the withdrawal of non refurb'd/repainted B10L's.

7127/8 could yet join 7129 in Dundee rather than being withdrawn permanently

Nathan4775

I thought 7127 had gone long time ago, I was looking out for it, But sadly didn't get one, only got 7128 thats what made me think it had been withdrawn.

Does anyone know when the B1OLS at PB & YW are being withdrawn ?
