I think possibly BC will get some more new buses in 2014 with some more tridents transferring to PN because i have heard the Mercs will be gone by next year

With PE, WN, WB & CV still with Mercs, its going to take a few buses transferred to get rid of them. It will be a shame to say goodbye to them, but they are really beginning to show there age now & now they are limited to what routes they can do, it is the beginning of the end.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

I reckon 4610-4634 will transfer to WN to keep batches together :)

As much as i want that to happen rob i don't think it will ;)

Same here it'll probably be some 43's that'll move ;) If WN do get some 43's 4318 might move back

Tbh as said replacing B6's, B10L's and Mercs are the main priority and the Spectras are fine as they are but it all comes down to cascades and deliveries. All we can do is wait till everything happens because as you know plans can easily change :)

There are more important things than keeping fleetnumbers together

That would give a ridiculously large batch of 100 vehicles all of which would be due for renewal at the same time. If anything I would have thought NX would want to split up batches like this to give garages a more balanced spread of vehicle ages.

Plus BC would then be left with an even bigger gap in the ages of their decker fleet i.e. with nothing between the 03 plate Tridents 4425-4449/4455-4474 & the latest E400's

Yep, forgot about them!

And remember folks, from time immemorial nothing has ever been withdrawn in neat sequence - eg a hundred plus new look front BCT standards had long gone before the last exposed radiator bus was withdrawn; BCT Fleetlines started withdrawal before the last BCT standard rear loading buses had gone; PTE standard Fleetlines started to be withdrawn before the last BCT Fleetlines; the first metro buses were withdrawn before the last Fleetlines were, and before the last Metrobuses were delivered.

So my guess is that with so many new vehicles planned over the next couple of years, there will be withdrawals of some of the older double decker alongside the last of the older single deckers - the only reason I can see for this not to happen as normally would be expected is if NX continues with an apparent Policy of replacing some single deckers with double deckers. It will be an interesting period.
