Kidderminster Update

S405 JUA in service on the 10 in Kidderminster today.

A large number of the old First Midland Red bus stop flags in Kidderminster, Stourport and Areley Kings have been replaced in the past week with standard Worcestershire County Council ones.

That is the best news EVER Sam you have made my day  :D

See, a week of no updates and then a really good one comes along! :)

I arrived back in Kiddy this afternoon only to get on S405 JUA on the X3 now I noticed a few things different about it they were

1. the hannover display on the side of the vehicle has been taken out and you can see where it was screwed in inside.

2. it has definitely had a new engine fitted as it now runs and sounds different when it's running

and something else has changed about it as well but I cannot put my finger on quite what it is.
I honestly don't believe it will be in use for very much longer and personally before much longer I can see it being withdrawn & put up for sale but I guess that remains to be seen...

Just remembered, when I saw it pull into Kidder bus station this afternoon it was displaying a load of code on the front and rear displays, not sure if that is of any relevance.

I saw it in the bus station like that, around 1630.

Where were you? I was waiting for the 16:36 125 towards Bridgnorth, which was about 10 minutes late!

I was wearing a white baseball cap, blue back pack and a red CeX bag you might of seen me ?

It did that in the last photo I got of it on 31/12/13 so must be an ongoing fault or it disappears when the driver presses a route? Not sure as I only saw it parked up...

Anyone seen, sight or sound of T71 JBA, or has this now left Kidder completely?

It is VOR at Kidderminster with the scrap buses; my suspicions are it will be withdrawn/sold.

Had a walk down to the bus garage this afternoon and got drenched in the process a few buses were parked up I noted

MV54 EEO - I noticed the flap under drivers window was lifted up so I don't know why that was as I was only on it yesterday

VX54 MUC and T418 MNH - are both inside the workshop

W905 JNF - is pulled up in the parking bay at the side of the workshop so again god only knows why

W904 JNF - 2 mechanics were looking at it I don't know what was wrong with it but it looked to me like they were testing the brakes as the driver was bombing it around the compound and then doing emergency stops because all of a sudden I heard "screeeeh" so again god only knows what they were doing with it

apart from all that everything was as normal
