They've been like that for ages. They still are some of the best buses in the fleet for long distance high speed journies. I had 30410 on the 125 a few months back wonderful drive.

3082* has broken down in Halesowen on the 192

30410 sounds really nice, 30409 sounds like its about to explode and 30411 i didn't even know hits the rev limiter like the other 2 do

@2206 are you sure the heater is actually on? Or is it just recirculating already hot air from the saloon?
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

The metal heater thing under the seats towards the back was extremely hot.

Depending on the vehicle, engine, etc, if the bus starts overheating it can actually help to prevent this happening by turning the saloon heating on. I know it sounds odd but it is a reality.

Better to have a hot bus for a bit rather than a broken down one!

3 Volvo double decks have now joined the open top Trident which is permanently parked on the front of Kidderminster Garage.
I presume they are not there for service? But they would be good for the very busy 3 service if they were.

3 from Burton it seems.
Looks like Kidderminster drivers are doing Birmingham - Coleshill Rail Replacements.

I see a lot of people are asking why there are double deckers parked in kiddy depot, there are 6 double deckers parked in the depot 5 Volvo B5TLs which are from burton and 1 streetdeck which is also from burton they are there on loan for the rail blockade starting tomorrow 17-08-2024 so will be doing rail replacement. Kidderminster garage will not be using them for service.

If Kiddy depot is doing the 242, why dont they extend from Kinver down to Kiddy?

Because its a contracted service supported by Staffordshire CC.

To extend it to Kidderminster would require additional resource, which costs money.

They could replace the 580 with the extension however.

How could you?

The 580 only runs twice a day 3 times a week, what do you do on the other 3 days?

32276 was being hooked up to a tow truck not so long ago in Halesowen Bus Station.
