My parents live on the 292 route and I honestly felt it was run awful by first with old lances the norm. Since Diamond have taken over more modern low floor buses and now with a greatly improved timetable it goes to show Diamond actually want to make a difference and invest. The only negative I guess and this comes from First too is the high prices on the route, but I guess that as a rural service you should expect to pay more.

Wednesday I overheard drivers talking about a vehicle fire/overheat so perhaps it is a short term replacement.

Will/Sam do either of you know the extact route of the new 4a  I know it is going up marlpool lane outward and down france road inward . but on the diamond site it says now servering habberley  which as you both know it is quite away from the route and it will have the 2/2A/2C/2L servering the area.i am wondering if they mean low habberley area  which is by Ferndale   which is on the 4A route

I emailed Simon Dunn this afternoon to suggest something to him it doesn't matter what it was about because he told me in anycase that over the next few weeks the MPD's that are currently in use at Kidderminster are to be removed from use in favour of longer Darts (or in fact longer vehicles full stop) so earlier I was trying to work out which depots the KD MPD's would go to so I came to the following conclusion.......

* (Tividale)| 20032 |MV54 EEO|
* (Long Acre)| 20113 |Y3 JPT|
* (Long Acre)| 20136 |Y36 YVV|
* (Long Acre)| 20252 |Y252 KNB|
* (Long Acre)| 20263 |Y263 KNB|
* (Redditch)| 20361 |W361 ABD|
* (Redditch)| 20572 |W572 JVV|
* (withdrawn)| 20652 |V652 HEC|
* (withdrawn)| 20654 |V654 HEC|
* (withdrawn)| 20657 |V657 HEC|
* (withdrawn)| 20658 |V658 HEC|
* (Tividale)| 20853 |LG02 FFD|
* (Tividale)| 20854 |LG02 FFE|
* (Tividale)| 20855 |LG02 FFH|

^^^(The above are merely my guesses and are NOT factual so please do not consider them as so),

but going back to what I said Kidderminster could end up seeing more "Blue / Black Diamond" long Darts plus regular "Diamond" long Darts.

It has already been acknowledged by Simon & forum observations that there are too many small buses within Diamond's fleet make-up. There would be no point in moving MPD's back to Redditch, Tividale or Long Acre as you're just moving the capacity issues elsewhere. More long Darts or full size single deckers need to acquired new & used with MPD's leaving the group.

Tividale is now 6 x Cadets down and has only had 2 x B7RLE to replace them of an equivilent.

Maybe KR will get those newly acquired ex Stagecoach V-reg Dart/ALX200's?

I think that red ditch has to many nice buses. Mans, streetlites, e300s,volvos what do kidderminster have? Darts and tividale darts, Royales which no longer royal a couple of b7s which are nice and tons of cadets and darts and old bangers

Red Diamond 20533 (X372 CUY) has made a surprise return to Kidderminster today no idea if it's a loan or permanent but I have been informed it is back on KD soil nearly forgot to mention that W901 JNF is still parked where all the scrap buses were so perhaps it may well be put in service W906 JNF is yet to enter service although it is at KD

Scrap that idea, they're not even DDA compliant.

Which raises the question of why on earth buy them!

I did wonder the same myself, unless they will be used for parts to put W901/3JNF back on the road. They'll look identical to W904JNF then.....

Redditch have nice buses...... no they arent as nice as you may think they are. The Mans are some of the worst at Redditch along with the VDLs and MPDs . The E300's are feeling there age (54 plates and 55 plate) the Volvos well at least one is at Tividale when Redditch could do with it. And the Streetlites are not the best for acceleration either most drivers don't like them because of it.
Midland Red West, one of the best Companies to serve Redditch, with some of the best buses.
