They do have higher backed seats, I've not been on one but they do appear to take quite a long time to sell on the used market with Drew Wilson & currently Wheelers having a number of examples for sale for some time. They should certainly provide passengers on the X3 & other longer distance routes with a far more comfortable journey compared with a Dart, makes sense to move them in to KR with the remainder of Diamond's MAN's

I can only assume that potential customers are put off by the brand name. Maybe just one ride isn't much but me personally I was impressed with the ride, comfort, legroom.

Maybe some 3/X3 branding on them and maybe an offer on fares and that would get a few people talking. Definitely an improvement on Darts, arguably also on the MAN Centros which are abit snug.

Maybe that's a tangent but maybe a eureka moment?

MAN does have a poor name & reputation, I thought more Meridian's may have been sold than there were with the more popular/higher quality Wright bodywork. I don't think the Meridian's were overly popular amongst Atherton's drivers.

I do remember reading an article in Buses magazine when the Meridian was launched. At that point I just thought it looked good. Knowing what I know now, being a part of the Wrightbus family is always a sure sign of a solid, good looking bus. As you say though, the MAN brand has a reputation. I know they get mixed reviews amongst Stagecoach drivers.
