Is that a fact? Can you explain why Geminis in the 4477-4500 series, all 2003 models, are still in active service at 21 years old?

This is a baseless comment banded around all too frequently which does the engineering teams a disservice in many fleets.

Why are there Routemasters, Leyland Nationals, Fleetlines, Metrobuses STILL in daily use, either on fleet work, private hire or preservation? All because of their design and careful maintenance and will continue to do so for many years to come.

4586/90; 4602/04/06/12/13/21/22/23

but

4612 is due MoT and will then transfer
4586; 4590 although still fit may not run again
Is it likely 4586 & 4590 could theorectically end up at Walsall, if, as you say, they are still fit, if Walsall is still short of DD's?

Wm2001

No 4586 is withdrawn its just been confirmed

9 now - YW has gone from trident stronghold to having single digit numbers in less than 2 months.

I had 4623 earlier, probably my last one out of YW now. They served well but they had there day now.

Not suggesting you're "hating", though (and for most of us, and I include you in this @Ingleboro261F ) enthusiasts would usually think of the oldest buses in a fleet and work forwards.
