I reckon (but could well be wrong!) that the current NXWM & NXC vehicle total is exactly 1700 buses. I've listed the 108 buses which I think are currently withdrawn/stored - this total could be lower now. The garage code in brackets is the withdrawn location or last allocation. And the 1522 in the active bus fleet, plus the 39 NX coaches, 26 trainers and 5 other vehicles.

4298 is still in active service. On the 11C today.
At Ward End at 15:00 heading for Acocks Green. @paulb1973
Not sure if any others are still in active service today?

Are all those 41XX still in service at BC, now all the 69XX have entered service?

Nothing withdrawn at WN now

Fleet is very much in a state of flux at the moment
4375 is withdrawn at Coventry, but both this and 4373 are likely to make a comeback.

There's likely to be over 600 buses made Euro6 this year which will mean lots of vehicles off the road at any time so others will have to cover, hence BC getting all those new buses but only losing 4172 & 4181. Expect buses in unexpected places.

'State of flux' is a good description I guess. I was trying to follow and record the location of all the withdrawn buses - but with so many at the moment, it's proving very difficult!

I had noticed 4375 stuck outside (if that's the one I saw recently) at CV garage.

It looks like 4298 is still going at AG - but I've just noticed I have listed 4231 as withdrawn - that seemed to be heading to a scrapyard yesterday! (so make that 1699 buses potentially).

I have, on my own notes, the Volvo B7TL buses that have been 'trapped' (presumably 4276-86/88-91 at AG and 4237/39-41/43-45/70-75 at WB) but I haven't recorded any other trapped buses that were not Euro 6 from new.

I'm just wondering with the emissions upgrades. Is there any 'requirements' for a bus to get the upgrades? I mean it looks like the bus is going to last x amount of years or something along those lines ?

I ask because I have seen many of the 2001 Volvo models going around but not too many have the green stickers on the back?

Thanks  :)

I love Walsall buses

4136 is now withdrawn a cording to a post on Facebook

No. According to that BC have a fleet of 224 vehicles. Making BC the largest garage. The JLR coaches are allocated to BC as well as there 200 buses. @BusMan Greg

From looking at the fleet list the majority of the y plate tridents went for scrap where as the bulk of the v plate B7tl,s have found new homes.
Were the tridents scrapped for being worn out or lack of buyers in the market place
