Which buses? I can see the post about the 1 having a blown engine?

2900

4232 donating engine to 4264 ,
Has 4232 been involved in an RTC or is it one of those that have never seen a refurb so low book value thus ideal to break up for parts, I thought the plaxton b7tl,s had the same basic engine as the alx400,s bodied b7tl,s , plenty of plaxtons lying around.

Plaxtons have Euro 2 engines, ALX have Euro 3 engines, a few differences which stop easy exchange

4079 has joined 4031 & 4066 in Pensnett's reserve fleet yard

I assume these are non runners & awaiting scrapping.

More tridents now finished are

4187 & 4189 at Miller Street for stripping for spares
4131 & 4174 at BC both unlikely to run again

I assume when the next batch of new vehicles arrive [what/whenever they may be] - they'll be a real slaughter of this 4125-4224 batch (and probably the 42xx B7TL's). Otherwise just withdrawals in dribs & drabs for the time being. Those four mentioned leaves BC with a 'mere' 225 buses I think. I can't imagine there can be too many more, otherwise BC will be short.

If 4174 was the one I caught on the 60 the other morning, then good riddance! It looked a right state interior wise.  ???

11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley

Hadn't realised 4238 had gone (it is showing as withdrawn on the main site fleet list) the second B7TL/ALX400 to go. I assume 4232 is still with us.

4232 is currently at Hartshornes, Willenhall donating parts for the reinstatement of 4264

Presumably 4232 won't be coming back.

Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

All the later tridents at BC that I have seen recently, with the exception of 4594-6 have ad blue tanks fitted, even the ones not yet repainted crimson. This could be the reason BC are able to release some of the earlier tridents. Some of the YW 45XX tridents also have the ad blue tanks.
