Good to see Mercedes 0405N 1707 is to be preserved, will it be restored to its hockley garage spec when delivered new there in 1999. Wish I  had the time and space to restore a bus, currently have classic mini, and 3 BMW,s that need finishing.

Apparently 1415 is being looked at by somebody.

What about an ALX200 Dart? Or has everybody forgot about them already?

look at the bottom picture of 1707 that would be what is meant I guess, the original low floor livery applied to all deliveries on Travel West Midlands buses

1704-1707 were branded for the 120 service at hockley garage from new and very smart they looked to. It did look odd though in the evenings when 87/120 boards inter worked , I think back I still can't believe single deckers were put on the 87,s woefully inadequate , use to leave behind many many passengers . On flip side you would have double deckers from the 87 boards on the 120 where it wasn't required ,go figure.

When I lived in Oldbury briefly as a kid I thought I had only imagined this. I remember seeing them on the old 128/129 on Sundays.

Hockley garage put out all mercs on Sunday's , people use to say Sunday best. I did drive the mercs regular on Sunday's very nice indeed just cruising about. Very sharp contrast from a damp smelly metrobus.

BCC operated the 87 (and the 120) around that time as well didn't they, guess they picked up some of the passengers left behind

I remember the damp, mouldy smell the Metrobuses had when it rained, BC's Scania N113's down the Bristol Road were similar. Remember one time there was so much water sloshing about on the top deck the time I got to town my feet were soaked. Water used to go to the sides of the top deck without anywhere to drain and slosh back to front lol
