4017 has gone to Ensigns with 4020/1

Tony when a bus arrives at Miller st are they evaluated, what goes into the considerations of scrapping a bus or keeping it for reserve fleet or resale. I asume this year a lot of plaxton b7tl will be coming through Miller st .

Tony when a bus arrives at Miller st are they evaluated, what goes into the considerations of scrapping a bus or keeping it for reserve fleet or resale. I asume this year a lot of plaxton b7tl will be coming through Miller st .

Buses tend to come to Miller Street if there is a need for any assessment or work including stripping of useful components from Scrappers

I saw a t or v plated merc being dragged by one of Trevor Wigleys bright red Volvo recovery truck on the Wolverhampton rd by Newbury lane heading towards m5 junction 2 , business must be good it looked brand new. I assume it left from the farm. Must be real good money in scrapping these mercs to send a truck all this way to take one bus back.

Hardly any money in Mercs, they are nearly all steel which has a very low scrap price. The scrappies are more interested in Aluminium

Will any of these see any further service or are they in too bad a condition? I heard that 6 of them were on their way to Ireland and it looked like some were being prepared for sale and further service but that looks to have fallen through.

Karl mentioned in another thread that 1668 had been collected, maybe it was that one??

1420 has been removed from Pensnett's withdrawn fleet, there's a gap where it was parked along the back fence

I have 244/582/601/633/634/662/4005/4006/4010/4013/4022 as still being at Wolverhampton withdrawn - have some of those moved on elsewhere?
