Saw a 58E displaying Deritend - Adderly St I think. It turned around at the Olton Tavern, then right into Dovehouse Ln. So i Dont know weather it was turned there as well, which I doubt, or just simply missed the turning!

The 58 turns left into Dovehouse Lane when coming from Solihull so the driver missed the turn :)

That's skimping it a bit isn't it? Short to Adderley St to avoid running dead from city to depot? I presume that wasn't timetabled? I know morning 59/58 start from Adderley St straight from Depot basically.

It was about half 5 so I dont think it would be returning to depot at that time?

If it was this evening the traffic in town was horrendous! It would quite easily have taken the bus 60 minutes to get from there into the City Centre and back to Adderley St!

There was a south-bound 71E working yesterday lunchtime, noted at ASDA Minworth, destination "Chelmsley Wood".  2106 from memory. An actual 71, a 70**, was pretty much right behind it.

Not usual to see a 71E ...... presumably something out of sync trying to get back on sync via a short-working ......

Yes it is meant for 126E jouneys out of Wolverhampton. Quite a few Peak Time Journey's terminate at Dudley from Wolves.

Also one thing is that 126E isn't programmed into Spectra 4019

Are you sure, did you look through all the possible destinations?

Yes I am definetley sure Matt :) I even got Matthew Jukes in the garage to check for me and he said it wasn't programmed in either. I did think it was rather odd

So can it literally only display "Birmingham 126" and "Wolverhampton 126"?

There's bearwood and five ways

You've seen these on a Spectra, specifically 4019?...
No, just on tridents.

^From Coventry this evening.

I forgot to note the vehicle number, (sorry). The service timetabled to leave Coventry at 16:04, but late.

Saw a 6E to Hall Green this evening while waiting for the 37 (out of city).

Also the 37 I got must have just finished a 37E Camp Hill working, as it was empty when I got on.  8) Heading the opposite way, we passed another 37E going to Camp Hill, and a President showing '37E Bullring Markets'.

Oddly, the buses that were coming out of the city didn't seem to be particularly full, at least the 6E and the following 6 weren't, though there was a few on the 2 and the 5, but neither were packed out.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

There's a scheduled 49E from Cotteridge to Shirley Station should leave 17:57 from memory which may have been the one you saw , always seemed pointless as the Solihull bus is only 5 mins in front and then theres a gap of 15 mins till the next one, from Shirley Station it runs dead to the garage.

Also 58E - Hay Mills seen leaving Solihull around 16:15ish today.

Is a 74E Island Road (from Birmingham) uncommon?

No, they are common timetabled short workings. in the daytime, the 'E' journeys are about every 20 minutes to Island Road from Birmingham.

How about a 74E ex West Bromwich to Island Road at 1120hrs?

wilmotm (Matt Wilmot)

At least 2 60E's to Wagon Lane during the middle of the day today but then the Coventry road is in chaos for some reason
