I believe it was 4200 or 4201 that I saw today on the 53 and then it went on to the 289 afterwards  :o
I thought the bridge at Sandwell & Dudley Station means on single decker buses can be operated on the route?

4194 I think was on the 11A this morning around 9ish by Dudley Road
821 was on the 47

A Pensnett bus on the 11A, are you sure?
it was definitely a trident .. it could have been 4144?

One running board of the 53/289 is meant to be a Decker, due to school loadings somewhere on one of the routes.
so the double 289 must divert and go somewhere else?

No, doubles can fit under the bridge. ALXs used to appear every now and again on the 238

The 87 used to serve Sandwell & Dudley station at one time, so that bridge is very used to double deckers going under it.

Out of service doubles pass that bridge to get back to the bus garage
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
"Around the corner" routes: 21, 89
Local routes: 12/A, 48/A
Semi-local routes: 54, 80, 87

Most used routes in bold
