It appears in the last week, the 99 destination has been reprogrammed to display "Halesowen Town".

Seems odd when the previous display "Halesowen"was more that sufficient.

Also it appears the the 29/29A/98/99 have been reprogrammed to display "City Centre" as opposed to Birmingham in the last few weeks too.

The destinations were reprogrammed some few weeks back. Not really keen on it though

Personally I think BCs numbers look too thin now but there you go nice to have a change from the default rubbish I guess! I quite like the font YW had on the omnilinks when they were new, but again they've just got the default one now :(

No routes at PE have changed, Just BC who seem to be regually changing their display fonts

The only time you normally hear the word TOWN is Halesowen Town football club.

Are we soon to start getting Dudley Town, Stourbridge Town & Wolverhampton City on destination displays?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Nathan4775

I surely hope not ;), would like to see what it looks like though on. Buses

I like the size of the Perry Barr numbers now. Smaller than they used to be and they look a lot tidier.

Thats what I mean, The smaller one looks much nicer and when the omnilinks were new YW used it! http://wmbusphotos.com/NXWM/1750-1953/1927.html The big one just looks a bit naff.

I automatically thought of the football club when I saw that, which the 99 doesn't pass.  It just seems really odd seeing it displayed.  They sure do like changing up the displays at BC don't they.

'Stourbridge Town' yes, on the shuttle trains running between Stourbridge Junction and Stourbridge Town ;)

It's not really a big deal. Anyone with a bit of common sense will realise it means Halesowen Town Centre, which it serves, just like "Birmingham City Centre"....
For anyone outside of the Midlands and not familiar with routes (we obviously all are), seeing "Town" narrows it down from anywhere in  Halesowen.
