Another WB one is the 728, from Hateley Heath (Phoenix Collegiate South Campus) to West Bromwich via the 47/47A route. One afternoon PM journey only with a decker.

Yes, these used to be 11S school services, but got incorporated into the 11 timetable as short workings. They start from Archbishop Ilsley School on Victoria Road in Acocks Green.

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

A far cry from what there was in my day at WMT! WA used to have 10 buses dedicated to services S1-S10, I can't remember the school but we even had part-time drivers on these that did nowt else. The fuel pumps at WA used to full of buses at around 4pm!

All the 885s that AG used to do from KEHS to Solihull and they had an S91 School too I remember.

YW did lots of 894s from Blossomfield Schools as well as an 894A and a 895.

NXWM Spectra

Compton Park School Services:
All operated by WN garage:
711 - Wolverhampton City Centre direct - AM both buses come from garage and should be Tridents
                                                                - PM both buses should be Tridents from boards 529/13 and 255/09
713 - Wolverhampton City Centre - AM and PM both buses should be Tridents
714 - Upper Penn - AM and PM both buses should be Tridents
716 - Wolverhampton City Centre - AM and PM uses same bus (?) should be a B6LE coming from a 62/A board
794/A - Bushbury - AM and PM both buses should be Tridents

On a different note, I live near to the 703 route and whenever I see it on Stubby Lane there seems to be no one on there. (Except the driver!)

NXWM Spectra, You do find that a lot of the school services are usually allocated Spectra's and Mercs instead of tridents. And I wasn't aware 62/A boards go onto school services. A board on the 11 does go onto one of the school duties in the afternoon with the last 62 of the day going onto the 11.

And in reference to  529/13 and 255/09 I have seen a fair few 529 branded tridents on the 711 and Spectra's do appear on the 529 and 255 in the afternoon coming off the 711.

Yeah thats my school most people have got off by then as thats the 2nd to last stop and if i remember correctly 701 goes around ashmore park (nathan?)

Trident 4609

No its the 703 that goes round Ashmore Park. Iirc it follows the 25 from St Thomas More through Willenhall up Pinson Road to Temple Bar then to Fibbersly where it turns right up Broad Lane South then Turns left onto Stubby Lane then when it reaches the Lichfield Road junction it goes up Linthouse Lane then right at the island towards Ash more Park then follows the 59 route round Griffith's Drive (Ashmore Park Loop) to Peacock Avenue where it turns left up Lichfield Rd to New Invention serving the estate (can't remember the name of it) served by the 41 then it terminates at New Invention square

Operated by WB garage AM and PM and is operated by B7TL ALX400s branded for Soho Rd (Goes on to work 74/5) or Wright Eclipse Gemini's

Trident 4609

I also believe there is a board on WN 1 that covers a school journey in the aftenoon and stays out till late night

Yeah i knew one of them did and then in the afternoon we get an X51 or 51 branded bus

The 701 is operated by WA hence the WA buses appearing but the 703 is WB operated with Gemini' and B7TL ALX400's

BC Operate a 876 from Yardley Swan Centre to Blossomfield Schools then goes onto the 60 afterwards

73 Solihull - Heartlands Hospital

Ashley

Think its 62/02 board that does the PM 716. May do the morning but not 100 percent
