I saw a Tempo X20 earlier so that must be what Nathan meant.

I would say it's closer to 3/4 of workings are Solo operated.
It's not terribly rare to see a Tempo on there, with even the odd working done by one of the relatively new OmniLinks.
Some days, there are two Tempos on there! :)

I would like to recommend the 539 route between Coventry and Kenilworth.
If you like tours around country lanes and villages, this is a great way to spend a bit of time!

Two new VDL/Bovas 53 seaters arrived today for the Private Hire fleet (none-touring) are YD14 GDA and YD14 GDE

Evening Barry, do you have an up to date fleetlist for our friends in Henley-in-Arden? I'm trying to get a decent list of coach operators and their to-date correct fleetlist.

Thanks,

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

The final new vehicle of the 2014 intake arrived today. Brand new Scania tri-axle 63 seater YN14 PLO. 6 older Bovas are in the process of being sold - I'll update when the list is complete but it's mainly from the E.. JCT batch

By luck managed to ride one of the Scania Omnilinks on the 150 last week. Excellent buses and glad that the panelling has been lightened up compared the NXWM ones. Much brighter interior as a result and got me to Brum from Kings Heath in record time!

How well used is the 150 normally? I only ask, because I was having a break at work today this morning, and saw one of their Omnilinks turning from Bradford Street onto Moseley Road, with no passengers on board?

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

The tempo 150 that left town at 19:00 tonight had 0 on board, but you should see the journey that gets to KH at 9:48 weekday mornings, it's always packed. I suppose it is a real "flow" route.

I took a run out to Stratford-upon-Avon today and made use of the P&R, not only to sample this "quality operator" for my first time but to also only pay £2 rather than the town centre parking which for the time spent would of been £6.

The 1115 from car park, a usual hybrid (ticket says Bus 29) and a lady driver, all seats taken and all going well until going over Timothy's Bridge the bus does some kangaroo jerking, then just before Alcester Road near the fire station she stops here, a few minutes passes until a passenger queries an gets a response of "we will have wait for the next bus", some started walking and the rest of us had to stand on the next bus.

The 1735 from Bridge St, a standard Solo, one driver training the other, we get to Timothy's Bridge again and the road is blocked by the police due to an accident, we endured waiting of about 15 minutes until the drivers eventually decide to reverse and turnaround, why didn't they do this straight away?, both drivers clueless about a alternative route and after circling around an estate they eventually got back to Alcester Road and on to the A46.

Overall this delayed/wasted about 40-45 minutes of our time today and understand it's just some utter bad luck on this occasion but for the average non-enthusiast user a never again experience I would think.
