I think theyre quite good tbf usually read them on the way to school-nice quick summary of the news and just because ppl ditch them on the floor its not an argument to get rid of them-theyre never in a mess on diamond buses either on seats, on pile or in the bin and maybe if NX provided rubbish sacks like TGB do then there would be less rubbish as opposed to pathetic ticket bins the metro doesnt fit into.

I agree even if the Metro was removed it wouldn't stop the chavs leaving half eaten kebabs and empty lager cans on the top deck nor would it stop kids having accidents with drinks and dropping crisps on the lower deck. At the end of the day a bus is going to get dirty no matter what. Providing somewhere to leave rubbish would be a great thing to do, even though bus companies don't want to provide a litter service people will and do just leave it behind anyway so why not get rid of it properly! If anything I think they need more Metros as they always seem to be gone by 11!

Can vary with each route, Like some 59's metros are gone by 8:30 but there was metros on the 59 at 9:30 this morning and some on the 126 from Wolverhampton at 10:00. And the 9 had a full tray of metros at 14:30 (Bus had been out all day)

I know what you mean, The 9-10 o clock 11As never seem to have any but the buses that turn up at 11ish seem to have a few! Most of the 35s have all been emptied by 11 though, infact a fair few have been emptied by 10. It helps if a bus is running late and the one behind is empty!

Often you see PE drivers keep some in the cab to sit on, what does that say about the state of the drivers seat!
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

I've seen a few stuffed into the edges of the Plastic drivers doors/security shields on Omnilinks just to stop the rattling :P granted I haven't seen one like that for a while but it has been done quite a lot!

Drivers usually keep one in the cab (The 8:23 59 i catch usually hardly has any metros on but the driver seems to have one so probably gets it from the cab)

I was on 1549 a few months back at WN on the 59 peak board. The bus was in the garage for days and had a full tray of metros.... But from Days before!)

Oh yeah I know they keep some, don't say I blame them really why buy a paper from the shop when you can get a free one!
What I meant was like the actual crevices and gaps between the plastic shield where they rattled a lot when newer. I saw one stuffed in behind the driver/passenger mirror once on a walsall omnilink haha also saw quite a few purple Diamond MCVs have the same treatment on the old 404E but the way the mirrors were mounted on them I ain't surprised they had problems!

Theres even a Joe's Travel dart with a little "bedroom" sized bin in the luggage bay by the doors!

Tbh there can be some funny stories in the Metro  ;D  Especially the Cheesy texts featured in Rush Hour Crush. Usually has a text declaring their love for someone whom they've seen during their journey even though the person its sent to probably won't even read it! ;)

Then it will say below something like Smiling Ginger Beareded Guy hold Ipad!

Surely nobody fancies ginger bearded people?
