Buses on specific Routes

With the unusual route topic being popular i want to ask. If the garage are short of that type of bus then just put a differnt one on it says no where a enviro should be on the 9 or a trident on the 126 or a merc on the 81 yes it is nice to see variation on routes but there is no specific bus on a route then really we shouldn't have the 'unusual working' as we don't know what are 'usual' and 'unusual' workings.

Well on the forum the term Unusual Workings is used loosely and basically means a type of buses not usually allocated a bus

Eg If you have an E400H that is genuinley unusual as it doesn't happen often

But an B7RLE Ion the 126 may happen a few times but shouldn't really be allocated and the majority of buses on there are tridents.

Granted but i mean nobody knows what i usual or unusual but i got a b7rle to merry hill on the 81 yesterday and i was bloody happy as i don't get many b7rle on the 126 or 81 or 81

Tbh most people can tell what is or isn't unusual. As i said on here we use the term "Unusual Workings" loosely so most people just post if a type that isn't always on a route as unusual

Eg the majority of buses on the WN 82 are Mercs so if someone sees a B7RLE or B6 then they would report it.

Certain workings may seem more unusual to some than to others.

For example you saw a Spectra on the 257 and thought it was rare butbif i saw it i would only think it was slightly unusual

Kevin

And if you see something you think is unusual but turns out to be "only slightly unusual" be prepared to get shot down in flames for it
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

All 311 running boards are written down to be scania but if not one available ussally a B7RLE is used. It would be quite rare for a B6/B10L to be used

Same with most routes really! Most notable ones at WN

All 126 boards are down as tridents
2/3/4/5/6/10 all are written down as B7RLE's on all boards
1 is obviously booked as hybrids.

Most routes have a specific allocation!

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

48 - Merceds Benz O405N/Volvo B7TL?

I wouldn't say B7TLs are a usual allocation but they pop up from time to time in my experience.
