Don't know when this changed, but anyone noticed they've changed the destination displays for the 31?

Instead of showing 'Solihull Town' on the front, it just shows 'Solihull'.

It's the same with the 58 & 73 they also just display 'Solihull' :)
Asking a silly question probably but does they display

I don't know about the 58 or 73, but I saw today that the 31 now shows

Solihull
Town Centre

Page 2:

via Sparkhill

then via Acocks Green, via Gospel Oak etc, doesn't show the 'big' Solihull anymore.

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

37 branding:

I have observed over the past few days, that on the 37 branded Omnilinks, they've all had the 'Now More Buses' part removed.

While this is probably factually accurate now (as there are still the same number of buses since the frequency increase that prompted the application of the branding), I wonder if an opportunity might be taken to replace that section of the branding with something more useful, like say a list of the main areas served instead?

(eg:
City Centre
Birmingham Coach Station
Sparkbrook
Tyseley
Acocks Green
Olton Rail Station
Solihull Town Centre & Station)

It's a good opportunity to take the rest of the lettering off the windows. Although Tyseley isn't Venice I still prefer looking out of the window rather than staring at the back of a huge '37'.

Spotted just now (02:30) on me way home from a nights drinking in town (via taxi, because Birmingham still hasn't joined the 21st century by having night buses), a 37 branded Omnilink coming out of Phillips street onto Newtown Row, lights off so presumably not a staff bus... Anyone?
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

I was just looking at the 5 branding on the West Brom Presidents. Will the 1 ever regain any branding on the newly refurbished Presidents?

How many running boards are there on the 11's? I just rode running board 11A/69 which entered service at Bearwood at 9:40

Most likely that'll be bus 19, as 11C is 11C/19 and 11A is 11A/69?

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

That was my theory, as I know even the Outer Circle doesn't have 60+ buses each way, just checking

No issues. Just remember that the chances of the high prefix running board numbers start with 51 onwards, on rotas with numerous routes. Additionally; the 58 starts with 58/41.

I think the PVR is 30-odd on the 11? Which is worked out by Frequency / length of route = PVR? Its too long in the tooth to be doing algebra at half 9 ..

LS someone has posted on here before that the Pvr is in the forties,  42 or 44 rings a bell

Well there you go then ;)

And that's a serious volume of buses if it is in the forties.

Yes, 42 sounds about right; 21 buses in each direction.

At peak-times, the circle takes approx 2hrs 45mins to complete (no layover time), 8 minute frequency.

2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood

The PVR has decreased a bit. I certainly remember it being 46 at one time.

I wonder what it was during BCT days and I to WMPTE. Of course then the buses were quite a bit smaller when ran by 'standards'
