QuoteIt's never on the 41 or 46, those are banned off those. Not rare to see them appear on the 72 either, especially during the Peak extras.

Why are they banned?
23 - Bartley Green
76 - Northfield
X20 - Birmingham Via Longbridge, Northfield & QE Hospital / University

They can't get round some corners because of the turning circle, hence why none have appeared since the 41 extension!

Are they also banned off the S16 too as I've never one to be used there either.

How come the platinums are banned but the standard spec MMCs aren't?

They aren't? E200MMC's are banned not the E400MMC's.

Quote from: BK63 YWP on June 21, 2022, 02:12:32 PMLooks like NX are using deckers on the 4/4A whilst the 22** are on the 72s during today's strike.

I wonder when Coventry's diesel cascade happens if the 4 may receive some platinum deckers though with the 100 hydrogens and the amount of electrics coming to Coventry I doubt the tridents have long left
The 72 is a right mix of buses today, the 73 is also solid Singles as well. May as well note the 72's reliability is awful today, buses are running at most 30 minutes late.

Are the roadworks at Sheldon still causing havoc? They were last week the chelmsley wood bound 72s were getting caught up in it as the roadworks started a few 10 yds after the major junction with the A45 and lode lane

When the 11 was split at Acocks Green it was said that if you buy a single ticket on the first bus you don't need to buy a second one when changing at AG Garage, that was at the time it was split? Is that still the case @Tony? Or have things changed since?

4286 has finally lost its Greatest Hits advert seen on 72 this morning,

Driver of 1803 found himself a bit 'stuck' earlier this evening.

Looks like he was on a late-running 4A journey towards Birmingham that had been turned short at Sparkbrook.

As I passed by on the 2, I could see he had tried turning into Mole Street from Stratford Road, but got stuck due to a van and some other inconsiderately-parked motorist, who wouldn't yield (ie reverse back) so the bigger vehicle could complete its manoeuvre.

Eventually after a minute or so, with the rear end of the Scania blocking the carriageway, the driver of the 4 just ahead of us was able to guide the driver of 1803 to reverse back safely to adjust his approach into Mole Street, at which point the car driver decided to move out the way, cue papping of horn and angry hand gestures!

I guess what would normally happen is that services would be terminated at the Stoney Lane stop, at which point vehicles would go left onto Highgate Road and then onto Mole Street to then turn back onto the Stratford Road. But it didn't help matters that the left-hand turn slip road had been blocked off by contractors, though no work was being done.

11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
