I was just about to post the same @bbs - by all means politely make a point by no need to be rude.

Nice to see @Jack has lost none of his effervescent charm on the forum!

Just went on 1802 on 41. I can see the demand has increased today which is a great thing to see. Although the delays are very annoying now. 20-30 min delays

Don't exaggerate please. According to BusTimes, the 14:00 41 departure from QEH left one minute late and arrived at Heartlands 15 minutes late:
https://bustimes.org/vehicles/279178?date=2022-04-30#journeys/253834470

Delays are being caused because of increased traffic in Sparkhill, probably more so due to Eid shoppers.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Yes I think it has.
I think the 71 used to go via The Radleys 17 route in the past. Then it was take off that route and sent via The Mackadown like the 72 and sent via  Bosworth Drive instead of Marston Green as well.

The extension could be it continuing from Chelmsley or Solihull Station somewhere? Maybe it will replace the 14 on Yorkminster Drive (Old 97A bit).

Could it be re routed back to Birmingham - during the changes in 2017 it was proposed to take over 56 and divert through shard end then bromford into brum - or maybe the airport via 14 route. (Current 14 route could go marston green via current 72A route into chelmsley) wouldn't imagine it would be extended in any other way?

My money is on a swap with the 97 or 14 for the Chemsley terminal

its extended to Yorkminster Drive along the current 14 route. The 14 will now terminate at Chelmsley Wood

In regards to Birmingham the 94/95, 14, 97, X12/X13 all go there, all of which serve different places along the way.
Why would the 72 need to go there as well.

The 14 going via Marston Green into Chelmsley, that would miss out Chapelhouse Road. I doubt Berwicks Lane has much passenger usage, off peak (10-2) it has a A10.
