As can probably have been surmised by now AG have been told to allocate spare Platinums to the 1 at the moment, so there are about 3 on there every day

At the moment. I wonder what's to come then. A route that only needs 2-3 buses, or an increase in frequency/extension of route on the 966.

I'm guessing that something is in the pipeline, which is also probably why the 966 Platinum 'upgrade' has not been publicised by NX Bus, and why no branding has been applied yet.

Still hoping it's this merging of the 72 and the 966 .

Does seem very strange to me though that they'd upgrade the route then amend it, because unless it's a frequency increase then there's going to be customers that feel hard done by

Been told a double decker drove down Morris Road in Ward End at about 19:40 today going towards The Fox and Goose, a B7TL ALX400/Trident(?). Does anyone know what it was doing?

Washwood Heath is still closed overnight tonight for roadworks, even though it should have finished last night. Might be one of ours on the 94

Thanks for the info, could have also have been one of Birmingham Centrals Tridents on the 19:30 56 from Birmingham City Centre to Kingshurst then.

I think it was 4596 on the 56.

1922 on the 72 this afternoon.

While I was on a rare trip on the 37 this morning to work, I noticed 6701 passing the opposite way through Greet.

Any reason why all the 'generic' Platinum branding it had while at BC has been removed? Wouldn't have hurt to leave it on for now, I would have thought?
