Was on 2203 earlier. It now has a sticker next to the cctv monitor explaining that the bus will turn off when stopped. However it didn't turn off once this journey. Not at traffic lights or bus stops!

I have noticed that with 2203 the driver must be able to somehow override the stop/start system whereas 2204 when I caught it on the 72 last week still switches off at bus stops, lights and back on when drivers ready to pull off

Isn't it when the handbrake is applied?

Possibly @Dom and pressing the accelerator slightly to keep it running as well though I may be wrong on that of course

I'm sure it is the same as the B5H's

The Volvo B5's are actually quite nice to travel on. 2203/4 are awful! I dread it when either of those pull up. The stop/start is quite noisey and violent.

Haven't tried 2203/4 yet, have been meaning to track them down but not had time to as of yet.

I've had 2203 - it was fine - the stop/start was not bad at all; fairly smooth. Did of course have a couple commenting on the engine going off and on ;)

Seeing as AG have offloaded a Presidents to WA & Dundee, I'm assuming these vehicles are spares they still had when the 73 left for BC ?

4076 was not a AG President it was a WA President, 4076 is the only one which has gone to Dundee recently.
The two that have gone to WA were paint floats.

Just got of 2242 on the 72, on diversion are AGs drivers not aware of the diversion?
From Saltley Viaduct the driver continued up the Washwood Heath Road as normal and past the road closed sign at Saltley Gate though the 55 (1799) and 94 infront went down the Alum Rock Road, he continued along there until he got stuk, he tried to reverse to turn round but couldn't and then turned left onto Bennetts Road he then had to reverse to get back onto the Washwood Heath Road and turn round, he then went back down the Washwood Heath Road to Saltley Gate and down the Alum Rock Road. He then continued the diversion as normal until the bus got to The Fox And Goose were the bus then went down Bromford Lane though the NX website it says he should of turned right and used the Washwood Heath Road, don't know were he went next as I got off at the second stop on the Bromford Lane but, from there he continued to follow the Outer Circle route.

I think he most likely would have missed out Drews Lane altogether and used the normal line of route from Bromford Road.

Yes it is when the handbrake is applied or when the doors open and the door interlock is activated otherwise you can just keep your foot on the brake on the engine will carry on running although there is a switch inside the cab I think that you can turn the auto stop off

Just seen that the 37 will no longer serve Olton Station from May 29th. Does anyone know why it will no longer serve it?
