They are perfectly ready, 3 will be in service this afternoon

Anybody in Carrs Lane around 17:00 might be lucky enough to find one

These will not replace 10 Scanias to WB

Ok

In garage now, 2206 looks like it's being VCR'd.

2201/2/6 should all come out

@WB

No problem - Haha yeah - sure you'll all be eagerly awaiting the Scanias! They're good solid buses - Beats the ADL E400s WB seem to have en masse currently  ;D

Interesting - so I could be right in that some may go to WA, or YW....

Yes!  Saw 2202 leaving Carrs Lane on a 37 at 1630 this afternoon.

I was on 2202 on that departure. Nice  bright and roomy interior, but I wasn't overly blown away by the bus in general. However it is early days and they may grow on me when I use them more regularly on the 72.
I do like the two piece rear window, the top part curves into the roof dome. A shame that this nice looking feature will be obscured by rear branding on many of the batch.

Unfortunately I have an ingrown disliking of the Dart. Any spec from any operator. I know that these are very, very different vehicles, but it's hard to shake off the preconception that this is just another Dart.

On the plus side they are much better than the E300's I used to use regularly on the 144 when new. Much better seating and legroom.

I came in on it at 1540 from Olton. I was very impressed indeed! The internal layout is much better than Omnilinks and B7RLEs where rear passengers are almost touching the ceiling. The ride was streets ahead of the earlier E200s and better than the E400 MMCs - it was the most impressive aspect of the bus. I was expecting to feel every crack, pothole and drain but it floated over them. The Voith was smooth as always though the driver took a few stops to get the feel of the retarder. The most surprising thing was the weight - only 7956kg. Less than 8 tonnes for a full 45 seater! The only thing I could find to criticize was a rattle from the engine compartment at low RPM, something that should be easily fixable. I couldn't work out where they fit the extra two seats, though! And it didn't Stop/Strart.

Only 2203/4 will stop start

Anyone else think there's quite a resemblance between the new E200MMC's and SB120/Plaxton Centros, particularly towards the back? (Photos not my own)

Are these out all evening now, if they started in the afternoon? Or any chance of one ending up on an evening 31?  :D

It would have done if it had stayed out, but all 3 back in garage now

Eric Shaw

Is there any reason 2201, 2202 and 2203 do not appear in the June changes?
