@MW

Sounds very good - hopefully all build quality issues sorted and they'll provide good service. The suspension is all new on these as well, different to the previous E200s, which is a good thing - should be more in line with the E400MMC ride wise. Hear they have Voith gearboxes, which is excellent news considering the poor reviews I've heard regarding ZF gearboxes on E200s.

The old E200's not sure how many but the 99 branded ones I believe are 4 speed voith unless I am hearing things 801-809 at BC though the latter ones i.e. WB are ZF 820 was one I caught once on the 80

If memory serves correctly, the gearbox options on the previous model E200 were Voith (D823, D854) and Allison (2100, T280R). I have ridden on a NXWM E200, but can't remember the sound; must have made a big impression! It was probably an Allison, but which, I don't know. The (integral) retarder on the latter tends to be more aggressive.

2205 arrived. 2206 has some sort of £12.50 advert on the side (like the adverts Mercs used to have)

Are you sure WB's are ZF? I thought they were all Voith. I may be wrong but I think the only ZF box available in the E200 is the automated manual.

They are looking to have some in service from Monday onwards. And now we'll begin to say farewell to the Scanias.

I had 1944 yesterday on the 37. Starting to warm to them aswell! Only thing is it takes ages to move off from a bus stop!

Could @Tony confirm or deny please.

MW has a good idea considering he works at AG - would make sense to start on Monday. Will miss the Scanias and very curious where they go - will all go to WB, or will some go elsewhere (I'm still predicting YW  ;) )

When the new buses  enter service let's hope they space
them out so they have the new every 15 mins rather than all at
once

Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).
