Quote from: Gareth on December 04, 2024, 10:19:29 PMThey don't run on a couple of AAA. Most fully charged vehicles can do a full day in service.

And if the range of the NX buses is only 8-10 hours, they need to send them all back as they're faulty!
Yes, they can do longer, but by changing them over after 8-10 hours also means that drivers who started early and have their cars parked at the garage also finish at the garage

As someone who once worked for NX, I bet this is popular with the drivers

Interesting. Can't see any reason why PB would need any 'dinky buses', I'm sure they haven't picked up any new tendered work from TfWM, unless this is for some other new contract.

Or is it just for 'general' Enviro200 familiarisation, being as there's not much difference between the 7xx and 8xx apart from the length?
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Perhaps for the 96 loadings don't seem to be that good. Especially with them gaining the evening and Sunday service to the airport.

if they are still doing the overnight service id guess its for that, since it only requires one vehicle.

Not sure about that one as the timetable hasn't been released yet that I know of. My guess is that they could receive a number of surplus E200S to replace some of the Scanias. Obviously just a guess I'm sure we will find out soon enough 😁

Or the 64/X64 would make sense?
I don't see them too often but they've always looked quiet when I have. And I'd imagine they're quieter than the 96 hence the lower frequency?
