4206 was in Great Bridge 2pm this afternoon, by the Lidl driving towards Dudley - only explanation I can think of is it's been to Carlyle? or (unlikely) going to PE?
I'm on Flickr and Youtube

Hopefully!
That explains why Coventry have kept the mercs because they plan to transfer tridents out?

1703 failed on service 3 outbound 1452 journey at the Black Prince Avenue lay-by, of course good old 1548 was the bus behind mopping up double passengers for the following hour or two.

I am really interested in this topic mentioned by Lauren...Transferring Tridents out of Coventry depot. Can anyone extend on this subject. Have we too many double-deckers buses at Coventry? Wish we could get our Scania's back at Coventry to replace the 0.405N's, surely they should be replaced.

I shouldn't worry about Lauren's fantasy posts. The whole point of replacing Mercs with E400s was Coventry needed more double decks, not less

lauren1993

It was pure speculation as 4206 was noted being out of Coventry, but now I realised it was to have the rear logo applied over the rear advert.
I couldn't agree more about Coventry needing some scanias, the current fleet is shocking, the amount of ADL products is far too dominating and is making the fleet average very unreliable.
And yes the mercs do need replacing because for some reason they have hardly withdrawn any since receiving 13 enviros.

I disagree, the Scania's were cramped. Plus, the Volvo's that replaced them are newer, brighter, and have, in my opinion a better internal layout.
Yes fleet variety is nice but practicality takes precedence. Plus who can argue with that solo seat that has a nice forward view ;) (Mercedes/Volvo).

I want most of the Mercedes to be withdrawn, I think NX just want maximum service life out of all of them, because internally, to the average passenger the likes of 1678 still seem in pretty good shape, considering their age.
