4423 has also gained a full rear advert

Think 4423's rear ad is for 'SuperBreak' - the others I presume are for eBay.

:D

I took 12X few weeks back. I was surprised at how many people were using it considering the fact it was out of season and out of rush hour period. I guess I'm incorrect on thinking that 15 minute frequency is bit too much considering that W1A/C doesn't get much passengers outside peak time periods.

NXC's decision to keep 11U route in full has me interested. I wonder how many buses would they save if they ran it between the rail station and university only. Perhaps it's not worth it in the end after all.

4764 has gained branding for 12X
4774 has gained University branding (same as 4773), has different ad on back, a dude looks like Batman.
Both are on 11U during daytime today.

Today's Coventry Evening Telegraph carry a headline article saying they wish to open out link between Broadgate and Hertford Street, accompanied by this photo obviously not taken me! https://www.flickr.com/gp/92409298@N06/D3N9t3

Oh please, for the love of God, not MORE roadworks!

They haven't even signed up the Tower Street roadworks properly... Imagine, you're coming into the City via Tower Street and the road all of a sudden becomes coned off on the opposite side of the carriageway only, there's a keep left sign immediately before the cones begin, what do you do? Common sense - continue on.
But no, it is actually now a one-way street coming out of the City only. And you're supposed to know that how exactly? There isn't a "Road Closed Ahead" sign or a No Entry one at the start of the one-way! Which is why half the buses going into Coventry City Centre have ended up going/almost going the wrong way down a one-way street. I have asked that they sign it properly because it's an accident waiting to happen... I'm not sure if they notified NXC of the diversion (it didn't sound to me like they did) but they certainly didn't notify Stagecoach.

On the other hand, the City-bound diversion is quite nostalgic, with buses entering the City as they used to about 15-or-so years ago.

The Coventry Telegraph...have 1 photographer. There were 15 in the 1980/90.s. He must be running around like a blue xxxxd fly. He certainley can't be everywhere. They rely on freelances, B'ham post Mail and people such  like Joni and Artifacts to send articles/features in to their news desk.

Decided to try and find some Mercs today. 1591 broke down on Coundon Road (heading towards Arena Park) at about half 2, the indicators stopped working. 1579 was the next bus, so it wasn't all bad ;)

Wish I had read the 'buses to find' thread earlier, sounds like I left Arena Park just before 1571 got there.

Yes.

Found something interesting on the NXC website, explains why none of the Uni buses I caught last week were on time.

Always wanted to go to the middle of the Arabian Sea! lol!
When the Alx 400's are gone eventually, wishfully never, won't NXC need more single Deckers as many route the ALX 400's are on are more suited to Single Deckers. Examples are the 1, 5, 7, 18, 18A.

It seems to be a strange, humorous and fairly common thing with GPS at the minute! I wonder if it has any effect on the RTI screens at stops/stations. I'll never forget the time the Trinity Street 20 stop was showing the current time as "30:39".
The one on my phone is all over the place, my Facebook shows "Bedworth", my Twitter shows "Brent, London" and my weather app shows "Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

I'm not sure if NX drivers have a way of checking how green they drive, which can sometimes show the same results. I've got a screenshot of a GPS tracking of a Stagecoach bus from the driver app, which shows the 48 route Coventry - Nuneaton - Hinckley - Ireland - Middle of the ocean. It's also claimed that a 48 driver was leaving Leicester at over 100mph in an Enviro 200 and that my 57 was once travelling at over 300mph in the middle of a lake in Bedworth. The ticket machines now auto fare stage update and it displayed "Unknown" one night last week!

I think when the satellites lose track and then find the vehicle again, it can sometimes mess up the location and especially the speed of the vehicle.
