Centro will be installing two new bus stop poles next week on Earlsdon Avenue South/North opposite the existing shelters by the clock roundabout, one only assumes these are exclusively for services 18A and W1A so they have a stop closer to Earlsdon Street, perhaps a bit elaborate considering the 18A is on temporary Friargate routing or could next month's service 11/12 amendment be another factor. ???

Thinking about it not elaborate at all, I'm sure that its to do with the flags and the 18A being outbound from the city centre and the 11/12 inbound toward the City centre, but sharing the same stop, its probably to just remove this ambiguity.
EDIT: Assuming the 18A continues to serve Earlsdon once any roadworks are finished, this seems quite a logical move by Centro.

The new poles will be very close to the existing 1/11/12 shelters hence why they are likely exclusive for 18A and W1C (similar to the stop alongside Hearsall Common exclusive for service 1).  But you could be correct when you say this could become the permanent 18A route as a stop for temporary routing would/should of been put up in March rather than now, NX runs the 18A commercially apart from the Cannon Park shopping centre loop and a bit of the route from Canley to Tile Hill South which Centro fund.

Thanks for the additional info there.

Also, this maybe better in a new thread, but when did buses stop advertising themselves as "Subsidised by Centro" on their blinds. I have never noticed any flip dot or LED equivalent of the old rollers. I think it should be brought back.

Same colour as the Sutton branding by the looks of it. Looks very nice on the sky blue as well

Most likely 1608 which is still in the old colours.

There is a pic somewhere of 1547/1612/1636/1655 outside the garage, I assume those four are still dumped outside.

Ben

I just hope they don't get rid of 1678 too soon, it has my favourite seat moquette.

Just seen 1612 being driven along the Coventry Road at Yardley with 'DEAD' in the blinds, heading for Miller Street perhaps?
