other operators spectras/ or dafdb250s seem to pull away quicker than nxwms. this makes me think that nxwm have shut the pumps down to save fuel

I agree - some seem very quick - the Arriva Southern Counties 6238 - 6241 batch seem v quick (and the Olympus bodies are rattle free also which adds to the effect). That said I went on one of their  101 express Enviros the other day and that seemed v powerful also. In days of old operators running inter urban services were able to spec different levels of engine governance and rear axle ratios to allow higher speed running - does this still happen?

4016 was on the 79 yesterday, and a school the day before, not missing

@Tony i haven't seen it in service for ages (Might have been put back out in service during the week) but it was definitely off the road for a bit




Yesterday 4604 (529 branded) went past Wednesfield High School and down Lake field Road about 3PM


And tonight 4018 is on WN59! Mega Rare for a Spectra to be on Saturday night 59's. Seen going through Heath Town towards Ashmore Park just after 10PM

Also 5511 is out on 59's tonight despite it not being on a late night board during the day (Driver said it replaced a overheated bus)

I've been told 4016 was off the road for two months.

And 5510 is still off the road to answer my own question

In other news 6 branded B7RLE 2076 was on Staff Bus duties this morning. Seen on Pipers Row about 09:20

Thats normal tbh. There is only usually one on there if there is a hybrid operating in the week.
There seems to a shortage of hybrids with a Spectra,Trident and B7RLE all on the 1 today.

Plus 5510 is away having work done

Yet again this afternoon a couple of buses missing after being taken off and a fairly big gap in service this afternoon (There was a least a 15-20 minute gap on there)

I think its a wiring fault on the Hybrid side. Comes and goes so difficult to repair.

Yes they do. The 25A & 25C are not circulars as in the 11 sense. Both routes terminate at Wolverhampton and switch onto the other service. For instance, a journey from i54 - Goldthorn Park, is only possible the long way round, unless you change buses in Wolverhampton.
