5422 has also been reinstated there for now, having re-entered service on the 14th January, and likely the last bus to run in service in the old hybrid livery.

So the Stafford route is being scrapped then?
Registration now shows Wolverhampton to I54 via Pendeford Business Park from April 5th 2020.
The registration previously showed Wolverhampton to Stafford via Pendeford Business Park, I54, Coven and Penkridge.

Why don't they just scrap it completely?  Bit of a pointless route now really as you've already got the 4 and the 6 that serve i54 anyway.  Besides, going up Stafford Road to i54 is a bit pointless too as that is served by the 3, 32 & 33

Why don't they combine the 54 (I54-Wolves) with the 25 so it will become a circular route rather than having to turn around at I54 and going back through Willenhall, Bilston etc. i.e. 25A & 25C

It is a subsidised route. It does what those paying the bill want it to do

Honestly... The 54 isn't a heavy loss. All Sections of the route are covered by other services inc:

Wolves-I54 Route 4
Wolves-Coven Routes 877/878
Wolves-Penkridge Route 878 or Train
Penkridge-Stafford Routes 75, 878 or Train
Coven-Penkridge Route 878

The point is it doesn't need replacing.

So by your logic, nobody wants to travel from Wolverhampton to Stafford direct by bus?

What about on Saturdays when Select only run Wolves to Brewood?
