could it be the garage being crafty trying to get drivers all type trained asap (my thinking is due to the school holidays/reduced pvr they have the opportunity to borrow a e200 to train on). this meaning that when buses do arrive, there will be little delay in them going into service

Wouldn't it have been better to have at least some of the buses in service this week to release some for V festival duties this weekend?

The majority of WN's Tridents are a few years younger.

PE's have a 3 speed Voith Gearboz

WN's 4310-14 and 4323/4 are pretty much the same

And WN's 4535-64 and 4585-4609 have a different gearbox to PE's (5 Speed ZF)

There was a 529 branded Trident heading towards WB Garage this morning. Any ideas why it was heading there?


Also just went down Great Bridge St to find 6 branded 2073 being towed into Carlyle Bus & Coach with some of the rear and offside corner smashed in.

I'm not 100% but I heard a bus on the 79 was defective and taken to WB to be 'looked at' maybe the 529 branded Trident had wondered onto the 79 or maybe it was been brought to replace the defective one at WB

P.S 4013 has been moved to the garage and is in the air at the moment, I believe being used for parts

256 went into stourbridge at 11.40 and changed to not in service and drove back towards Wolverhampton

It's starting to look like the one way system in queen street is almost ready to be reversed, when this happens where will buses be running. I'm guessing service 25,28 & 59 will serve lichfield street instead of queen street. But with princess street closing to traffic, where will service 1 be re-routed to ?

Will services 3,4,69 & 89turn right into queen street from market street or will they be sent down bilston street and along pipers row ?

Seems to be alot of Spectra's on peak workings/change buses atm. Seen Spectra's working peak 59's,79's,255's and 529's which would normally be Tridents

There have been major problems on the 256/257 this week due to roadworks at Camp Hill in Wordsley.  I've been told that buses have been taking up to 40 minutes to get from Stream Road to Stourbridge due to Stop/Go boards causing gridlock.  I have seen 2 Tridents from the 256 heading "Not In Service" into Wolverhampton this week to catch up time.

A few heavily etched vehicles at Wolverhampton ive noticed recently include 4547 4549 4568 4590 4592 4594 and 5418 and 2008 which has a floor tag. 4590 and 4592 have adorned the same scribbles since 2012

Well 4590/2/4 will have their etchings removed soon....

4324 is looking quite a state since it came back from BC. Earlier repaint which is starting to look tired and 4323 doesn't look that good either
