I've just finished my first driving duty at BC for two years, didn't take the easy option of a new bus on the 900, but took a duty on the 14 with 4151, not sure why you BC drivers moan about the 41xx, 4151 is a lovely bus, superb brakes, only fault is it is a bit slow pulling away on a hill.

Shame London Midland are so shit and cannot be bothered to run any trains to get me home. Don't expect any website updates tonight, currently on the stopper to Walsall with the promise of a replacement bus

Son of a b**** i think you drove my bus back from Chelmsley Wood about half 8. I remember telling me girlfriend at the time "I think I recognise that driver, but it can't be him cause he wouldn't be driving a BC bus"

.... dammit

I did the 20:25 from Chelmsley Wood back to City

Probably was that one. Ah well
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

Is the 98 still being converted to dd operation? If so where will the spare B7RLE's go?

They could put them on the 59/90 :) but I don't think that will happen

I could see them on the 59. They couldn't handle passenger loads on the 90

Where did this rumour of the 98 becoming double deck come from?
The B7RLEs always seem to cope quite adequately, and personally I don't think they need double deckers. And there are dont seem to be any BC routes that the B7RLEs could go onto on a full time basis.

The rat said on here some time ago that the 98 was turning to double deck operation

I'm a BC driver and I'd much rather have a 41XX than any other bus at our garage.

2142 has had the bit under the destination display where the fleet number is,  painted  red, instead of black, makes it look quite distinctive. John
