Did you like it?

It was nice to drive, but it was a bit sluggish at pulling away which you wouldnt expect from a new bus.

NX may have had the engine management systems set like that to prevent hard acceleration & ultimately conserve fuel

andyr

New buses and coaches often feel sluggish and un responsive to begin with. A few hours work and a few miles and things fall into place. The Van Hool 917 i drive was a pig of a coach to begin with but quickly settled down and is now a pleasure to drive.

I was thinking that too, but there are times when you need a bit of speed to pull away at busy islands etc

BU07 LGO

I often wonder whether NXWM use different maps on their buses, after having my diesel car remapped it is a complete different car, drive it sensibly though and MPG is actually better than standard

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.
