Ahhh!!! The voice of Phil Upton is back, and this time with a sidekick.

The new Platinums (or 6878 at least) are starting to have next stop announcement enabled. An annoying nasal sounding voice says "the next stop is..." with Phil Upton then saying the name of the stop. I hadn't appreciated how peaceful and quiet things had been until now.

WiFi still not working though.

I noticed that a few weeks ago while travelling on the X12 from Chelmsley Wood to Solihull. It's almost as if they couldn't get the original 'guy' to voice the new stops, as you would have the usual 'the next stop is' followed by the name of the stop in a louder, slightly different voice.

Interestingly, the voice then changes to the 'traditional' one, where the X12 shares stops with the X1 between Intl Station and Holiday Inn.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

PB's should be like that as in saying 'The Next Stop is, (for example) Erdington, Six Ways. They also say the announcements once your right at the stop. I think the ones on the X12 is probably the best one. WA's announcements are a bit quiet.

Will the 63 have announcements on the Hybrids?

What a difference school half term makes. The NXWM app (real-time departures) shows that the next few 22/23s are due in 5, 15, 20, 30 and 35 mins, and the next few 24s are due in 7, 17, 27 and 37 minutes. This is completely alien to me.

I'm aware of the reasons - both buses I've been on today have had to wait time at every timing point - just pointing out what a novelty it is having the slowest and most delayed corridor in the entire network running like clockwork.

Yeah, they're definitely running more like clockwork than usual.

On the X1 this morning, arrived on time at Yardley Swan Island (Broadyates Road stop) and was 'Early 5' (according to the ticket machine screen) on disembarking at Bordesley station. Almost forgotten what it was like for a bus to effortlessly glide along Small Heath Highway.  8)

Even better is the ability to actually get on the buses and have a seat!
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

There's Coventry ones and Sutton ones mixed in. End of Easter hols I reckon

All opinions and onions mentioned on here are mine and not those of any employer, current, past, present or future, or presented as fact, unless I prove it otherwise.

The Fox 4846

Due to the amount of Perry Barr routes on there I'm not sure. Could be Easter timetables although if this were the case, then other garages should've been registered to. All will be revealed I guess.

7 Sutton Coldfield via Witton, Perry Common, Boldmere
