If you are going to pull up a passenger and switch off the engine then see it through, dont back down.
If you are just going to give up and drive he will expect this again.
Press the emergency button and talk loudly on the radio mentioning you want the POLICE.
A tip I use is to call the garage tell em the situation and whisper on the radio to tell control to say to me 'The police are on the way and will be with you in 5 minutes' and then turn the radio volume up LOUD.
Also to try and get the other passengers on your side by saying 'You are holding up all these people who want to get home'
Most frustrating thing is when another passenger interferes and offers to pay for the culprit.

Do you get paid extra for that? Is it worth your time? Press the anomoly button and smile dude. This is why most drivers have lost their hair. Don't worry about it.

I have a full head of hair.
I dont make a habit of pulling people up, but find the majority who dont pay etc are also the same ones who are also more likely to smoke upstairs too.
My point is, what is the point in switching off the engine if your going to just start it back up again and take them, probably to get more abuse as they get off.

Are there still messages programmed into the destination displays, such as 'vehicle under vandal attack' can't remember the exact wording, I think this dated back towhen graffiti and etching windows was commonplace.?

I've never seen anything show on the destination displays. I know that when AG had the Scanias, those had an audible alarm that would sound with a 'bus under attack, call the police' message. Only ever heard it a couple of times.

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

All the Omnilinks have the "This bus is under attack, please dial 999" message with the alarm, the drivers occasionally use it when someone gets on without paying there fare.
Do the Omnicity have it as well?

2134? - 45/47

Yes think it is 2134 as saw it this morning @Jack B . Any idea of timings and whether it's on 45/47 please? Wouldn't usually say these are noteworthy myself as quite often see them in the peak but 2134 has been out all day today which is unusual

4472 is currently parked up on Richmond Road (Stechford). I presume it's awaiting a day on the 97 based on the branding, display and in the past, I've seen buses parked here starting services inbound.

It isn't an ideal space for laying over to start work as the roads become tight when a bus is parked plus the road is double yellows !

Given the 97 is the closest route to my house and I've been a passenger on the route for the past 15 years, I do find it slightly bothering that the branding doesn't mention Stechford !

Not seen any E400 on the 60 today (didn't see any on there between about 11:00 and 12:15)?
It appears to be mostly 46XX trident, a 444X Trident and a platinum E400 MMC 6851(?).
Quite strange not to have any E400 on the 60.
