QuoteThis is something I have been thinking about after reading the franchising document.
East Birmingham garage could take routes from AG, such as 17/72/73/X2
AG could take: 2/3/6 from YW
which could give some... space to YW.

But then they also want to do cross city routes so no idea how they will involve that into franchised regions. but then another curve ball is... can they compress more routes down to save money. Could they try and kill the 61 by the current changes that are being done and replace it with short journeys from city to Northfield.
my thought was, east Birmingham can take the 17/17A, 97/97A,14,95,94,96,71,28,X12 and X13, X2, 60. Acocks Green gets the Yardley Wood 6, 35, 49,76,27 & 2/3. Yardley wood gets all the south Birmingham routes based at BC.

There's not room at YW for another 5 buses, let along 5 routes!

Quote from: Mike K on July 07, 2025, 01:15:07 PMI guess much will also depend on which company ends up with what routes under franchising.
Yeah, time will tell. There's still nothing on what regions will get what routes. Franchising will either work just about the same as it does now or go shockingly bad, I don't see it improving the service.
Your new favourite 61/63 late night driver 😂

Guess it also might depend what happens to other depots in the region too like Pensnett? I also think Simon said rotala are not open to selling Tividale?
