Just to see what people's favourite liveries (and ones they hate in both the WM area and UK wide

My opinion

Best:
(WM) My vote goes to this livery of Central Buses http://tomonthebuses.smugmug.com/Independants/West-Midlands/Central-Buses/22775446_9TkvFn#!i=2589164961&k=w8W8CxX&lb=1&s=XL  - The reason being its more stylish than NXWM red and white, or Diamond Black! Plus the way the curves are on the E200s bodywork make their livery look stylish!
(UK) Trent Barton i4 livery http://tomonthebuses.smugmug.com/WellgladeGroup/Wellglade-Optare-Tempo-SR/23755979_gq8nPq#!i=2158313291&k=c5Hxj5v&lb=1&s=XL  - The way it curves around the side of the bus to make it look smart and it suits the body of the Tempo SR

Worst:
(WM) The black blandness of Diamond Bus http://tomonthebuses.smugmug.com/Rotala/Rotala-Wright-Eclipse-Urban/22568398_dSCCtf#!i=2143505862&k=txnv9vV&lb=1&s=XL  - It shows up all the dirt, and looks really wrong
(UK) I never knew NX livery could look so wrong until I saw this... http://tomonthebuses.smugmug.com/NXBusandCoach/National-Express-Alexander-2/22071442_KM3KmC#!i=2180006583&k=T42vTmd&lb=1&s=XL  - Yes, loads of grey...a depressing amount in fact!

Honourable mention:
London gets the last word with its annoyingly stupid obsession with red. Just when I thought Diamond could do bad with Black, TfL take the biscuit with 100% insistence on red...

...anyway, over to you

All opinions and onions mentioned on here are mine and not those of any employer, current, past, present or future, or presented as fact, unless I prove it otherwise.

I've always thought the NXHH livery was very smart!  :P

I am (obviously) going to say the Green Bus livery ;D but in all honesty it is one of the most striking liveries around.

I really want to see a Gemini in TGB livery!

I would say the pete's travel livery, NBB livery, BCC/diamond/go west midlands liveries and the black diamond/red diamond liveries are good along with blackpool's lines livery-not the current one. Arriva's interurban livery is a good one along with stagecaoch gold and arriva sapphire.

Liverpool Street

Midland Rider - Best (Remember them?)

NXWM - Worst (Just red and white crap on a company of this stature?)

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Can't argue with either of those Trandev ones, the Coastliner one in particular looks superb on the bonded glazed Gemini 2 B9TLs.

Would also have to agree on the NXWM livery - totally uninspired, dull and cheap looking. A 4 year old could have designed it.

I just wonder what the meeting the design came out of was like. I think a bus painted mostly white would be a great idea on some of the busiest roads in europe-that wont look dirty at all.

This looks nice

Better than blackpools current offering

Like their old green and cream livery as well

Also like the old Midland Red West livery along with arriva interurban which looks great on pulsars and refreshes mid life buses such as the ex Midland dart on the homepage. I really liked the old TWM livery and the WM buses one beforehand-really great liveries that aged well as can be seen by the fact that some of the buses wearing TWM liveries have gone far longer without repaints than the buses in red/white have managed. The current rotala prestonbus livery is surely a winner and some of go north east's stuff is good as well and is certainly distinctive. It would be hard not to say that many of the post deregulation liveries were the best-ie bee line buzz and companies like that

The TM Toothpaste livery has to be one of the best
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
"Around the corner" routes: 21, 89
Local routes: 12/A, 48/A
Semi-local routes: 54, 80, 87

Most used routes in bold

Worst UK

Timeline Travel, used to see these in Telford and found this to be one of the most drab, depressing liveries ever. In this pic it looked fairly freshly applied yet still looked awful. A more weathered version was 10 times worse.

Worst WM

Midland Red West's Wyvern version of the Midland Express livery, so bland and lazy compared to the original ME livery. This scheme never suited any vehicle it was applied to in my opinion, mainly due to the shade of yellow.

Best UK

The Witch Way. A really classy and contemporary scheme that always looks innovative whenever I see it.

Best WM

This version of the Tame Valley livery. Loved the design and shades of green and yellow on this. Ironically I hated their standard livery.

God, that Timeline travel one is truly horrific. Not quite as bad but still utterly sh*t, ABus, Bristol:

How dare they defile a Spectra like that.

Midland Riders last livery before been sold off was probably the best in the West Midlands. Always thought Arriva's Interurban livery was rather nice also.

Worst livery must be Hanson's dealer white, very basic.

Haha one of the worst liveries though is the Northumbia/North Western type livery-absolutely horrible design with horrid colours.
Im surprised no one has said that the worst livery was probably anything NBC!!
