I have just been on the NXWM website and a new article about 'safeside' and NXWM support for it is on there, and there is a picture with a Metro in what seems like full NXWM livery - You can just about work out the 'POG' in the registration. Anyone know what bus this was?

It is 2605, as seen here after been repainted at Walsall, for Safeside. It is a static bus, no engine in it anymore.

'SAFESIDE is a visitor centre set up by West Midlands Fire Service to educate children and give them life skills such as not playing on railway tracks, anti social behaviour, graffiti'

John,

I think it's 2505

Never knew one had been painted albeit a static one. I think the livery suits the Metro too, making it look very modern.

Its not Winston, see the 2nd picture I linked to above. The first picture has incorrect information.

Fair enough, the photo title bowled me a curve ball......  ;)

The livery doesn't look too bad on a Metro. Not real this time, but came across this picture the other day of a Lynx that has apparently been 'digitally repainted' into the NXWM livery. Must say it fooled me until I read the narrative below:

Some people must have too much time on their hands!

Bit ironic that 2605 is now the "safe"side bus, as this bus was tragically involved in a fatal accident with a pedestrian in Stephenson Street in the mid 1990's.

Yes, I remember that
